How did Brant and Hanako meet? We're actually not quite sure. We met sometime in preschool. Here's a picture of Brant at Hanako's third birthday party. Brant's third from the left and Hanako's second from the right.
However, we went to different elementary schools, and Hanako moved to the east coast for a few years. When she came back they were in the same science class. Hanako remembers a conversation that went something like "Hey - I knew you when I was little." "Yup."
In high school we became great friends on the Mexico Mission Trip with the United Church to build houses in Juarez.
